 Sporting Fingal were crowned FAI Futsal Cup Champions following a hugely entertaining final on Sunday at the BRL Umbro Arena. Goals from Marco Prudencio, Helio Lima, Hygo Cezar and Irish National Team skipper Mark Langtry were enough to overcome a valiant challenge from Blue Magic Dublin for who Artur Opeldus and Jasinski were on target.

The curtain will finally come down on the Post Primary Schools Futsal calendar next week with a tantalizing All Ireland show-down in store for all to see. The event will take place in the National Futsal Arena, Ballymun on Tuesday, 23 February. Boys and girls of all sporting abilities will be hoping to emulate the talents of former futsal players such as Lionel Messi, Zico, Juninio, Kaka and Ronaldo. |
